Hello Again!

It’s been a while, friends!

First, I want to apologize for the longer than intended hiatus from this blog. I’ve had a rough few months due to health problems, which made it very difficult to muster the motivation to write about anything. But! After a month of medication and some dietary changes, I’m feeling much better and motivated to do things again! As before, I intend to blog about the games I’m playing each Monday, but with a bit less crunchy analysis and gameplay breakdowns (like I previously did for Hearthstone Battlegrounds) and instead, more casual, conversational writing. I don’t want the blog to feel like work, after all.

That said, today, I will give a brief summary of all the games I’ve been playing these last few months, games I’ve stopped playing, and games I’m looking forward to.

Games Played

Baldur’s Gate 3 (Early Access)

At the beginning of the year, I was deep into planning a D&D campaign for my friend group, and because I rarely do things halfway, I thoroughly immersed myself in everything D&D I could get my hands on. So, naturally, I returned to playing Baldur’s Gate 3 for a little while, trying out different races and classes than my first playthrough of the early access content. My favorite character I’ve made so far has to be a half-elf Warlock of the Great Old One. I went into the game with the intent to obtain and abuse as much power as possible, and ended up having a lot of fun. I unlocked a lot of side-quests and cinematics that I didn’t get the chance to see before, which really deepened the story, world, and characters. I tried out a few other characters as well, but in the end, I decided to give the game a rest until the full version comes out (hopefully later this year). As much fun as I have playing it, I can only be interested in replaying the same storylines so many times before getting bored.
